Web Design: Will Your Visitors Like and Trust You?
ByIt’s no secret that people buy from people they like and trust.
Although most of us realize this, it’s amazing how many small businesses just put up a website that’s “good enough”.
Ask yourself;
If I were a visitor, what does this website do to get me to like them and trust them?
If you can’t come up with a good answer, you need to read this blog post from Seth Godin.

Good point Murray, thank you! It’s easy to get a bit too ego-centric about our websites and forget that people don’t see us the way we see ourselves (or that they know much about us in the first place.)
What’s required to get website visitors to like you and trust you also varies a bit on the type of website you have and what you’re trying to do. For example, if you’re selling something online, you need to reassure people about the security of your order processing systems, your return policy, you need to give people a way to contact you – above and beyond what Mr. Godin talks about in terms of coming across as likeable.
